The method

Not a wearable's guess. A defined method.

KDM-13 is EVA’s adaptation of the Klemera-Doubal Method, applied to thirteen blood markers that span your whole body. It reads your living physiology rather than a single wearable signal, so as your biology changes, your score moves and your protocol changes with it.

Questions answered

What biological age can—and cannot—tell you

Biological age is an estimate produced by a method, not a direct measurement of how many years you have left. Different methods use different inputs and can produce different answers for the same person. The method matters as much as the number. Its value is as a summary of how your body is ageing across several systems at once, and as a way to see whether that trajectory is changing.

How is biological age estimated?

EVA BioAge is calculated from 13 blood markers using KDM-13, EVA’s adaptation of the Klemera-Doubal method. Read it alongside your individual results and clinical context. The wider KDM framework has been used in ageing research, including CALERIE; that does not validate EVA’s particular implementation.

Blood-based and DNA-methylation clocks use different measurements. Changes in EVA BioAge should be considered alongside changes in the underlying markers. A lower score alone does not prove slower ageing or longer lifespan. EVA’s inherited-DNA test is separate from DNA-methylation ageing tests.

Can a quiz tell me my biological age?

Some online quizzes give you a biological age based on your answers about lifestyle. That number is only as good as your answers and the quiz's own scoring. It cannot see your cholesterol, blood sugar or inflammation, because nothing was measured. EVA's biological age comes from your actual blood results.

OutputWhat to ask
Questionnaire estimateWhich answers determine the result, and how was the scoring method evaluated?
Blood-marker estimateWhich markers, units and algorithm were used?
DNA-methylation estimateWas methylation actually measured, and which clock was applied?

What does a lower score mean?

It means the method produced a lower estimate from the data supplied. It does not, by itself, prove that a person has gained years of life, reversed a disease or benefited from one particular intervention. What matters is which underlying markers moved, because those are the levers. Results are indicative. Individual outcomes vary.

Before interpreting a change, ask whether the same method and comparable inputs were used. Review the underlying markers and the wider clinical picture, not only the headline score.

How to make an age estimate useful

  • Record the method and assessment date.
  • Understand the inputs and any missing information.
  • Ask what the estimate adds to your ordinary clinical discussion.
  • Keep individual measurements available for review.
  • Avoid making treatment decisions from the score alone.

Questions to ask EVA

Ask which method appears in your assessment, how it is calculated and what its limitations mean for you. If you are comparing two assessments, ask whether the comparison uses the same method.

What is biological age?

It is an estimate derived from a particular set of biological measurements and a calculation. Different methods use different inputs and can give different results. Ask what was measured, which method was used and what the number adds to the wider health discussion.

How do I reverse my biological age?

A lower estimated score is not proof that ageing has been reversed or that life has been extended. Focus on the underlying measurements and the health actions agreed with a clinician. Compare results only with an understanding of the method and conditions; do not treat a supplement or one changed number as proof of rejuvenation.

How can I feel younger?

Start by describing the change you want: more energy for ordinary activities, better sleep, greater strength or easier movement. Those are more useful discussion points than an age label alone. If a change in how you feel is persistent or concerning, seek an appropriate health review. An age score cannot explain every symptom.

Biological age

Your age in years. Your body's age in evidence.

EVA™ estimates how old your body is actually functioning from a single blood draw, using KDM-13, EVA’s adaptation of the Klemera-Doubal method.

What we measure

Your living physiology

A single blood draw reads more than 70 biomarkers across seven systems. Thirteen carefully chosen markers then estimate how old your body is behaving, not how old your birthday says you are.

How we calculate it

The Klemera-Doubal Method

KDM-13 is EVA’s adaptation of the Klemera-Doubal method. The wider KDM framework has been used in ageing research, including CALERIE; that does not validate EVA’s particular implementation. Read your score alongside your individual results and clinical context.

Why you can trust it

It responds, and it is reviewed

Blood markers move when you change how you eat, train and supplement, so retesting shows genuine change. Every result is reviewed by a qualified clinician before it reaches you, never an algorithm alone.

Why now

Standard labs flag problems late.

Standard labs only flag a problem once you are already outside the normal range. But normal is based on population averages, not optimal health. EVA™ reads your markers against longevity-grade optimal ranges, based on your actual biology, so you can go beyond normal.

Standard "normal" range Based on population averages. Only flags when you are already outside.
EVA™ Optimal Based on your biology and longevity research. Where you actually want to be.
